Sara started her career in advertising agencies, working across a variety of blue chip brands in the UK and Asia, before going ‘client side’ to BT. She joined Barclays in 2008 with a remit which grew across marketing until she became the CMO of the Personal and Corporate Bank globally. Sara joined Nationwide Building Society, in 2016 as their first CMO and a member of the Executive Committee. She now leads the Propositions and Engagement Community, responsible for all the retail products, brand, insight and communications and is CEO of The Mortgage Works. She is also a Non-Executive Director of the LTA and a Trustee of The Prince’s Countryside Fund and of the Nationwide Foundation.
