Nikki Vadera joined Henkel as Marketing Director, Laundry & Home Care UK & Ireland three years ago. Since taking up her role, her focus has been driving growth in the laundry and homecare market through disruptive and innovative communications. Nikki’s aim is to challenge and break conventional stereotypes and to use targeted and tailored communications to achieve this.
She led Colour Catch ‘Dare to Mix’, a ground-breaking campaign aiming to banish stereotypes associated with laundry and homecare by challenging traditional gender roles. The programme was so successful that other Henkel markets took the unusual step of replicating the campaign in countries around the globe.
Vadera studied BSc (Hons) International Management in her home city at the University of Manchester and spent a year abroad at the University of British Columbia during the four-year degree course. After graduating, Vadera knew that she wanted a career in marketing, and having completed her CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing, she gained valuable experience at Danone, L’Oréal and latterly Dorel, where she was Head of Marketing, before moving to Henkel.
Vadera lives in North London with her husband and young daughter. She’s a keen skier, a regular visitor to the gym and considers herself a professional cocktail drinker!
