Aoife joined Elvie in September 2018, as employee number 34 and as the first marketing global director for the brand. Aoife oversees all areas of marketing from brand building, creative and insights  to ecommerce and performance marketing. Over the past 3.5  years she has grown the team from 5 to 53 and the company has expanded from one office to five to include a world class R&D centre in Bristol, as well as hubs in Shanghai and New York. In April 2019, Elvie announced a $42 million Series B led by IPGL and supported by Octopus Ventures and Impact Ventures. More recently she helped secure Elvie their Series C, the biggest ever Femtech raise, led by BGF and Blackrock. Aoife was promoted to CMO in July and has big ambitions for where the brand can go. Before elvie, Aoife was recruited to dyson to launch their personal care division in Northern Europe, where she doubled the UK hairdryer market overnight. Before dyson, she worked in global marketing for ghd, the british based hair brand and started her career at L’Oreal working in both the London and Dublin office across a number of local marketing roles.
