Head of communications and marketing, Time To Change
Joanna Kowalski is head of communications and marketing at Time to Change, a world-leading social change campaign run by the charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. Its aim is to end the stigma and discrimination faced by people living with mental health problems. Joanna started her career as an award-winning journalist, being named Mind Journalist of the Year and shortlisted for the Norwich Union Medical Journalist of the Year, both in 2005, for her reporting of mental health issues. She then went on to work in a number of NHS roles, including coordinating all communication and engagement activity to support the transformation of major trauma, stroke and heart attack care across the East Midlands.
