Ashley Firth is the Head of Front-end Development for challenger energy brand Octopus Energy. Their approach to web accessibility – which involves creating an inclusive experience for those with autism, dyslexia, visual impairment, screen readers and more – has been described as "best in class" by the Royal Institute for the Blind.
Ashley led the development of the award-winning Octopus Tracker – the world's first energy tariff to update its price every hour to follow the wholesale cost of energy.
He was shortlisted for Young Energy Professional of the Year in the customer service category and is a regular contributor to magazines on designing and developing sites for a range of disabilities.
Before joining Octopus Energy, Ashley achieved a first in his Bachelor of Arts Honours (Interactive Media Production) at Bournemouth University, and his digital agency experience spans projects for household names such as Sky, Budweiser, Walkers, WWE and more
